Contour Enhancements
As we age, our face loses volume resulting in a drawn, tired look. When the face is lacking in soft tissue or bony structure, contour enhancement is an ideal procedure used to achieve a more balanced harmonious appearance.
It is very important to diagnose the problem, i.e., if there is not adequate soft tissue or good support - lifting the area may not obtain the desired results.
Facial Implants
Adding support and increasing volume through the insertion of facial implants accomplish correction of body and/or soft tissue imperfections that occur with aging.
Facial implants are made of a soft medical grade plastic material that is custom selected for each individual. The implants are placed under the covering of the facial bones. The procedure is usually done under anesthesia through a small incision inside the mouth or under the chin.
Lines, Wrinkles and Other Fillers
Injectable materials - ArteFill™, Restylane®, Perlane, Radiesse™, JUVÉDERM™, Sculptra™, Hylaform® fat.
Implantable materials - dermis (alloderm) fascia, gortex and soft form composite.
All of these materials work by plumping out the wrinkle or fold. Most injectable substances need to be repeated. While implantable materials are more permanent. Although some of the newer products can last months to years.
Soft tissue enhancement - often times as we age, the fat in our faces not only rotate, but it may also dissolve as well.
Bone enhancement - with the aging process bone may reabsorb, causing a sunken appearance. This is common around the mouth, chin nose and cheeks.
