What Are SkinMedica® Chemical Peels?
In addition to at-home skin care products, SkinMedica® also offers chemical peels that we perform in-office. SkinMedica®’s chemical peels can accelerate skin exfoliation by turning the skin’s layers resulting in renewed and healthier looking skin.
The SkinMedica® chemical peel, known as the Vitalize peel, can improve the tone and texture resulting in a more even complexion. The SkinMedica® Vitalize peel is appropriate for patients with mild to moderate skin imperfections related to skin’s natural aging from sun exposure or pigmentary changes. It can be customized to match the needs of all skin types.

What Can I Expect from the SkinMedica® Vitalize Peel?
The Vitalize peel takes 20-30 minutes to perform. After treatment, you may experience mild to moderate skin redness. It is recommended that patients wear an SPF 30 or greater after the treatment and to limit sun exposure for at least one week after the peel. The SkinMedica® Vitalize Peel can be repeated every three to four weeks, and multiple treatments are often necessary achieve desired results. The effect of the SkinMedica® peel is cumulative and results are best when combined with a daily skin care regimen.
