What is Neck Liposuction?

What is Neck Liposuction Like?
During the neck lift procedure, we will use anesthesia to ensure that you remain completely safe and comfortable throughout the surgery. To begin the treatment, we will make a small incision under the chin. Through this incision, we will insert a small metal tube, called a cannula. The cannula is connected to a vacuum system, which easily removes fat from the neck area to produce the desired results. Once the desired amount of fat is removed, the incision will be sealed and the treatment will be complete. A neck liposuction procedure typically takes about one hour to perform.

What is Recovery Like After Neck Liposuction?
After the neck liposuction procedure, you will be free to return home. However, you will have to rest for at least a few days before resuming any normal activities. During this time, you can expect some bruising, swelling and tightness in the neck area. Most patients are able to return to work and other usual activities within about two weeks of treatment. Bruising, swelling and other side effects may persist for a few more weeks, but they will continue to fade over time.
