Popular Plastic Surgery for Men – What’s Currently Trending

Plastic Surgery for Men

When the topic of plastic surgery comes up in discussions, most people tend to only associate women with having cosmetic procedures performed. However, evidence is coming to light and showing that more and more men are having a wide range of cosmetic procedures performed these days as well. Although there are numerous options when it comes to plastic surgery for men, those mentioned below are currently among the most popular choices.

Facelift Surgery

This has fast become one of the most popular forms of male plastic surgery, with as many as 13,000 men having mini facelifts as well as regular facelifts performed in the past year. Between 2013 and 2013, the amount of men who had facelifts performed increased by almost 10%. Figures like these show that more and more men are becoming increasingly aware of their overall appearances and realizing how they can benefit from looking even a few years younger than they actually are, both in their personal lives as well as in a corporate capacity.

Liposuction

Although many men engage in regular exercise in or out of the gym and consume a healthy diet each day, this is not always enough for them to achieve the firm and healthy-looking figure they want. As a result, they are opting to have liposuction performed on areas such as the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, upper arms and even on the back in some cases. During 2013 alone, as many as 24,000 men had some form of liposuction surgery performed on one or more of the above mentioned areas and have gone on to enjoy their new looks.

Eyelid Surgery

This surgery is normally performed on men who have noticed that their eyelids have become droopy, they have noticeable wrinkles forming around the eyes or they have seen puffiness under the lower eyelids. However, there is generally no age limit when it comes to having this procedure performed, and this was the second most popular form of plastic surgery for men over the past year or two, with more than 35,000 men having it performed in 2014 alone.

Breast Reduction

Over-developed breasts are one of the most embarrassing conditions that thousands of men suffer from. Although this can be caused due to a person being overweight, it is also thought that hormonal changes to could be responsible as well. Almost 24,000 men opted to have gynecomastia performed to reduce the appearance of this condition. This enabled all of them to enjoy having a chest that was firmer, flatter and far more masculine-looking than before.

The topic of plastic surgery for men need not be one that is embarrassing. Numerous plastic surgeons are available to perform the above mentioned procedures; however, patients should always advise them if they are suffering from any form of medical condition, as this could affect the outcome of their chosen procedures. It is also strongly recommended that a plastic surgeon be chosen that is experienced, as this will help ensure a satisfactory outcome.
